Darren Long

Darren Long became Head Professional at Moreton Morrell in the summer of 2024, taking over from Tom Granville. He joined us from Manchester, where he had been working under former Moreton Morrell professional Steve Brockenshaw.

Darren is a tournament professional. He turned professional in 2009 at Canford under Steve Ronaldson, where he also learnt to make balls. He is now one of only two professionals recommended to make balls for the singles and doubles World Championships.

He reached the world top ten in 2018. He has won the Browning Cup three times, and the Taylor Cup for young professionals, beating John Lumley, now world No. 2, in the final. He has also won the Category A title three times.
